ZOOM!  Advanced Power Whitening System

ZOOM! Advanced Power is a teeth whitening process that lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin. It is a safe and effective way to get a brilliant set of teeth in about an hour. In addition, we provide our patients with a take-home kit, to ensure your new smile will never fade.

How does it work? The ZOOM! Advanced Power light activates the whitening gel. The gel’s active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide. Hydrogen Peroxide whitens colored substances while the structure of the tooth remains unchanged. ZOOM! Advanced Power is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results and significant improvement in color.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Metal fillings can be unsightly and make an otherwise perfect set of teeth look unattractive. Now there are fillings specially designed to match the natural color of the tooth. Directly-bonded, tooth-colored resin fillings can make a tooth look like new, whether they are used for small areas of decay or to replace current fillings.

Porcelain Veneers

These are ultra-thin custom-made facings bonded directly to the teeth that are commonly used in smile makeovers. They are a fantastic way to repair or enhance the appearance of front teeth. Veneers can be used to whiten teeth, close spaces and create a great smile. Using veneers, we can even perform virtually "instant orthodontics" to straighten crooked teeth and give you the bright smile you always wanted.

  • Reduce or eliminate spaces between the teeth (diastemas)
  • Repair broken or chipped teeth
  • Whiten dark, yellow, permanently stained or discolored teeth
  • Correct misshapen or crooked teeth

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns and bridges are restorations of choice for weakened, stained, missing and worn down teeth. Metal based crowns and bridges that are covered with porcelain are ideal for protecting posterior (rear) teeth. Gold is the metal of choice for metal based crowns and bridges due to its strength, flexibility and durability. Gold doesn't darken or stain overtime and is biocompatible in your mouth.

All Porcelain crowns and bridges are most aesthetically favorable restorations as they provide the best natural color match to your teeth. They are not as strong as restorations reinforced with metal. They wear down opposing teeth a little more than metal restorations. Porcelain crowns and bridges are a good choice for front teeth.

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are porcelain fillings that make the tooth stronger by holding it together while retaining a natural, aesthetically pleasing color. They are used in instances when there is deficient tooth structure to support a filling but the tooth is still in a condition that does not require a crown. Inlays fit into the space remaining after the decay of an old filling or cavity has been removed and onlays (partial crowns) sit on the tooth and reinforce its structure.

Bonding

Composite bonding can work wonders for your smile. Materials that match the shade, translucency and the texture of your teeth are used to close gaps, eliminate spots and discolorations, and enhance your self-confidence. Bonding is excellent for small defects in the teeth, including spots, chips, or gaps. For smile alterations involving an entire tooth or multiple teeth, porcelain is the material of choice. Bonding involves the use of composite resin tooth-colored filling material. This material can be used on front or back teeth. The procedure is sometimes referred to as bonding because an adhesive agent is used to bond the resin to the tooth structure.

Dental Implants

Dental implants provide a stable base for replacement teeth that look, feel and work like natural teeth. With dental implants, a person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat and smile with confidence. Implants can replace one tooth or several missing teeth.

Dental implants are cylinders made of titanium that are surgically implanted into the jaw. The jaw bone grows around the base of the implant, while the top protrudes through the gums. Once they are secure in the jaw, the posts serve as anchors for tooth replacements such as fixed crowns and bridges and secure removable dentures.

Invisalign

Now you can choose a nearly invisible way to straighten your teeth.

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners. So, whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing braces, you'll have a new reason to smile.

Each set of clear aligners is worn for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually until you've achieved the intended result: straight teeth.

There are no metal wires or brackets. Invisalign is comfortable and because it's removable, eating brushing and flossing are no problem. You can still enjoy your favorite foods and smile without holding back. With Invisalign, there's nothing to hide.

Dental Sealants

Dental Sealants are thin plastic coatings which are applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars (back teeth). Most cavities in children and teens occur on these surfaces. Sealants cover the chewing surfaces to prevent cavities and help maintain sound, intact teeth. Children between the ages of 5 and 15 benefit most from sealants, because the teeth don’t have a chance to develop cavities.

Pediatric Dentistry

Your child should have a dental appointment before his or her first birthday, and check-ups should be scheduled about every six months after that to be sure no cavities or other problems develop. During these appointments, we will talk with you about your child's oral health and hygiene, including teething, fluoride, brushing and flossing, cavities, sealants and orthodontics.

Non-Surgical Treatments for Periodontal Disease

We offer non surgical treatment for periodontal disease: root planing, scaling, and Arestin®. Root planing and scaling are therapeutic treatments to remove toxins and bacteria from the root surfaces of the teeth. Periodontal (gum and bone) disease can be easily elimated this way, as removing toxins allows the body's immune system to begin the healing process. We also use Arestin®, a powerful antimicrobial treatment. Even though SRP (Scaling and Root Planing) removes a great deal of the bacteria that cause periodontal infection, the instruments used during this mechanical procedure can't always reach the bacteria that hide in the bottom of pockets or in difficult-to-reach areas. That's why we often decide to add a locally administered antibiotic such as Arestin. Clinical studies show that Arestin and SRP are more effective at shrinking the size of infected periodontal pockets than SRP alone. Arestin remains in the pocket for up to 21 days - to help ensure continued treatment.

Night Guard

Night Guard is a custom-made plastic device that fits over your top or bottom teeth. It is worn to protect teeth from the damage caused by bruxism (teeth grinding) or clenching.

Grinding can happen during the day, but it often happens at nightime during sleep because of chewing reflex or stress response. Habitual grinding or clenching can affect muscles, jaw joints (temporomandibular joint) and the appearance of the face. A sign of bruxism is worn down teeth that become shorter. Tenderness and pain may be felt in the muscles and jaw joints on waking in the morning. Teeth can become sensitive, painful and loose, after they have been worn down or cracked by the grinding.

In most cases wearing a Night Guard will help prevent occlusal wear and will relieve TMJ pain.

Root Canal (Endodontics)

Root canals can prevent tooth loss when there is damage to the soft core of the tooth (the pulp). Despite its reputation as a painful ordeal, a root canal is actually not very uncomfortable. During the procedure, the damaged pulp is removed, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off, and a crown is bonded to the tooth to maintain strength.
